Found an interesting link today that is the official line on the sea defences - has some interesting maps and historical information about previous flooding, as well as predictions based on breach points and also how the local geographical land gradients will affect depths of flood water etc.
Technically this only covers residents in Wall Street and the two houses on Beach Road that are protected currently by the seawall.

Hi Derek. Nice one. Didn't know this site existed. While not very re-assuring( ! ) very useful nevertheless. Gary and I had emergency plans the last time the environment agency came down and told us we ought to evacuate. Elaine was very pregnant and Gary always thought the most risk came from " Breach 3 ". The other area of concern was the poor condition of the sea wall above the sewage works' sluice gate, but they've since repaired it.
